At Tree-Nation, our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to reforest the world and make tree planting accessible to everyone. Founded in 2006 by Maxime Renaudin, Tree-Nation started with a single project in Niger, one of the driest and most challenging environments on Earth. From these humble beginnings, we’ve grown into a global platform dedicated to addressing deforestation and climate change.
Our Story
Tree-Nation’s innovative approach quickly took root. We pioneered tools like the virtual tree and the online forest, bridging the gap between reforestation projects in remote areas and the individuals and companies supporting them worldwide. These technological solutions have helped make reforestation a collaborative, transparent, and impactful endeavor.
As we grew, so did our impact. In 2007, Tree-Nation became an official partner of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), a milestone that affirmed our commitment to environmental restoration. Today, we’re proud to have facilitated the planting of over 40 million trees across 70+ projects in 5 continents, empowering +20,000 companies and half a million individuals to contribute to a sustainable future.
