How to change your citizen account to a company account
Started a business and want to keep your forest? We’ll help you switch your Tree-Nation account from citizen to company.
🌱 Upgrading your citizen forest as you starting your own business
Many Tree-Nation users start their journey as individuals, then decide to switch to a company account as they launch or grow their business. Great news — it’s easy to make the switch while keeping your existing forest and trees.
🔁 How to change from a citizen to a company account
Follow these steps to update your account:
1. Update your forest name (optional)
If you want your forest to reflect your business identity, go to:
👉 Edit forest name
Change your current forest name to your company name.
2. Contact support to request the transfer
Send an email to support@tree-nation.com with the subject “Convert to company account.”
Please include:

Your login email address

Whether you'd like to change your forest URL (optional)
⚠️ Important note: If you request a URL change, your old URL will become inactive. Any links you previously shared will need to be updated.
3. Wait for confirmation
Our team will confirm once the conversion is complete. You'll keep all your existing trees and forest data.
4. Add your company information
After confirmation:

Add your billing details: tree-nation.com/user-profile/billing

Add your company website: Go to your forest page and click the edit button

Review and update your account settings

🔄 Can I switch back to a citizen account?
Yes! If you ever want to change your company account back to a citizen account, just let us know via support@tree-nation.com, and we’ll adjust it in our backend.
