1. How does the Pledge works?
The Pledge is essentially a Planting guarantee. It make sure you plant every month, the number of trees set in your pledge. Here is how it works:
- On the first day of the month, it credits your account with enough trees to achieve your goal.
- During the month, you can spend those credits by planting via any of our other services
- On the last day of the month, it will count the number of trees you planted this month.
- If you have reached your pledged number for this month, then no trees will be added.
- Otherwise it will plant just the missing trees to reach your commitment for the month.
In summary, the Pledge simply act as a minimum number of trees planted per month, while allowing you to benefit from a seamless experience.

Yes. With the Pledge you manage your budget and tree credits. With the other services you spend your tree credits by planting or offering trees. The Pledge act as Planting guarantee which only plant trees in case you are not planting them through the other services.
5. How does the Pledge Premium differ from manual CO2 offsetting (Offset by Tonnes)?
The Pledge Premium offers a recurring monthly commitment to plant trees and compensate for CO2 emissions. It's designed for convenience and consistency, ensuring your tree planting goals are met automatically. However, manual Offset by Tonnes may offer more cost-effective options for CO2 compensation, depending on the specific species and projects available at the time of purchase.
That said, you can configure the Pledge to plant monthly using a custom selection of species and projects. Custom packages are available within the Pledge Premium plan to better suit your specific preferences.
6. Can I plant or offer trees at a different price than the Species Package price selected in the Pledge
Yes, you can.
The Species Package price chosen in the Pledge is only applied to the trees that you haven't planted by the end of the month. If you plant trees at a lower price during the month, you'll have some credits remaining in your account. These credits can be used later to plant additional trees whenever you want.
