Defining the right order status: processing or completed

You can decide if your trees are triggered when your order status says 'processing' or 'completed'.

When you receive an order on WooCommerce, your 'orders' page will display a status. Order statuses let you know how far along the order is, starting with 'pending payment' and ending with 'completed.'

This status can be one of the following: Pending payment, Failed, Processing, Completed, On-Hold, Canceled, Refunded. Your Tree-Nation-WooCommerce webhook is set on the order status 'processing' by default. This means a tree will be triggered when your order reaches this stage. But if you prefer that we change the status to 'completed' for the sending of the trees, please let us know and we will modify it for you.

This is what each status means:

  • Processing:  This means the customer’s payment has been received. The order is now awaiting fulfillment, i.e. for you to process it.  If you’re using WooCommerce to track your orders, you can click into the order and change the order status to 'completed' once you’ve dispatched the product(s).
  • Completed:  The order is complete. No further action is needed.
