How to explore and choose your reforestation projects
Explore Tree-Nation's co-designed reforestation projects and discover how to choose the ones that align with your climate, biodiversity, or community goals.
🧭 This article refers to the Tree-Nation Projects page, where you can explore, filter, and select the reforestation projects that match your goals.
Each project is unique in its location, impact, species, and methods—and we give you the tools to filter and explore based on what matters most to you.
You can also follow your favorite projects using the Follow button, and track their progress over time via the "Updates" tab in the Projects section.
🌍 A Diverse Catalog of Projects
Tree-Nation offers 50+ co-developed reforestation projects in over 28 countries. Each project is co-designed for maximum environmental and social impact using science-based methodologies and developed with trusted local partners.
We constantly validate every project through our internal quality assurance process.
No two projects are the same: from rainforest regeneration in the Amazon to desert-fighting agroforestry in Africa, each planting initiative has a distinct focus.
We are continuously onboarding new locations and expanding existing projects with new planting sites each year.
🟢 Project availability & status
Each project comes with a status, displayed as colored dots on the map:
-
Active (Green): These projects are ready for your funding and participation.
-
Under Validation (Orange): Undergoing internal quality checks before launch.
-
Completed (Blue): These projects have fulfilled their planting goals, are visible for transparency but not open for new planting.
Tip: Filter by "Active" to find projects where you can plant today.
Note: Some active projects may be temporarily out of stock. For identification, they display this pill:
🗺️ 3. Choosing a Geography
You can filter projects by continent, country, or region using the map or sidebar filters.
Local or Global?
-
🌴 Tropical projects are ideal if you're looking to maximize CO₂ absorption and biodiversity protection—thanks to faster growth, richer ecosystems, and greater climate urgency. That’s why Tree-Nation prioritizes tropical regions in its global reforestation strategy.
- 🏡 Local projects foster visibility and community engagement, support pollinator recovery, and promote sustainable agriculture through methods like agroforestry.
