Managing multiple forests with a Forest Group
Centralize your company's tree-planting across countries, subsidiaries, and business units
If your company operates across multiple countries or entities, you may want to manage tree-planting both locally and globally — with each entity acting independently while sharing a unified group impact.
Tree-Nation allows you to structure this with a Forest Group and multiple member forests.
This enables you to:
- Track impact per country, brand, or business unit
- Maintain independent local operations and billing
- Communicate one collective global impact under your group name
The Forest Group is designed for medium and large organizations that require decentralized sustainability management with centralized reporting.
How the Forest Group works
Member Forests (local or business unit forests)
Each member forest:
- Has its own login and account
- Operates independently
- Manages its own planting activity, credits, and transactions
- Has its own dashboard, settings, and communications
This allows each country, subsidiary, or business unit to manage its own sustainability efforts autonomously.
The Forest Group (group-level entity)
The Forest Group is not a forest itself. It is a lightweight umbrella that sits above your member forests and:
- Displays the combined tree count across all member forests
- Provides a shared public page for your group
- Shows the collective CO2 offset impact across all entities
- Serves as the central communication page for your group's sustainability story
The Forest Group does not:
- Have its own login or user account
- Hold or manage credits
- Plant trees directly
- Handle billing or invoicing
- Override the management of member forests
The Forest Group's tree counter equals:
The sum of all trees planted by all its linked member forests
Transferring credits between forests
If one entity handles billing for the group, you can distribute tree credits to other member forests by requesting your Account Manager or support@tree-nation.com. This allows you to:
- Purchase credits once, under one invoice
- Request your account manager or support to transfer the credits.
- Keep each forest's activity independent and traceable
Important rules
- A Forest Group is not a forest — it has no independent planting activity
- Each member forest remains fully autonomous
- A forest can only belong to one Forest Group at a time
- All member forests must belong to the same corporate family or brand
- The Forest Group is created and managed by your Tree-Nation account manager
- There is no additional cost for a Forest Group
Eligibility
Forest Group is available to clients who:
- Have a dedicated Tree-Nation account manager
- Have purchased a minimum of €5,000 in tree credits across their member forests
If you believe you qualify or would like to discuss your setup, contact your account manager or email support@tree-nation.com.
When is a Forest Group the right setup?
Forest Group is especially useful for:
- Companies operating in multiple countries under the same brand
- Corporate groups with multiple subsidiaries
- Franchise networks
- Retail chains with regional divisions
- Organizations with multiple business units sharing a sustainability goal
If different entities need autonomy but the company wants one collective sustainability narrative — this is the right setup.
